GaWLogoAn important message to our Google Apps for Work (Legacy or Free Edition) users,

Google has announced that it will no longer offer new sign ups to the free version of Google Apps nor will it allow NEW DEVICES to be added to Google Sync using the Microsoft ® Exchange ActiveSync ® protocol effective January 30, 2013. This only affects Google Apps for FREE users. Users and their devices that are already using the free version will continue to function and Google Apps for Business users are not affected by this announcement.

Your current devices using Microsoft ® Exchange ActiveSync ® protocol will continue to work after January 30, 2013 but it's important to note that any new devices added to your Google Apps for Free account will not sync or be supported.

Google Sync will continue to be fully supported for Google Apps for Business, Government and Education users who are unaffected by this announcement.

Another most significant limitation is that the free version only has 15 Gigabytes of free email and Google Drive storage. Finally, the most significant limitation is that free editions have no 24 hour phone support.

What all this means for you as a Google Apps for Free user is you may need to consider upgrading to Google Apps for Work ($50/user/year or $4.17/month). This means that your Google Apps account will have access to 24x7 hour support from Google, 30 Gb of email storage for each user and support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync (best method to sync iPhones) as well as the Google Apps Sync for Microsoft Office. Plus if you allow ConnectedLiving to be your Authorized Google Apps Reseller we will assist you in this to make it a smooth transition.
